Since Christmas is almost here, we wanted to share some festive decorating ideas with you all. Christmas is such a fun time of year!
Let’s start with the most important part of Christmas decorating, the tree. There are so many ways of decorating your tree, it can get a little overwhelming. Which theme do you chose? How many ornaments are too many? What about the kids? Well, these couple of ideas should help you narrow down what kind of tree decor person you are.
Gold and Silver
Gold and silver decorations are so common, yet every tree looks so different. It can be elegant and modern or rustic and homey. Either way, a gold and silver tree is so classic and gorgeous.
So many people have hopped on the “modern farmhouse” bandwagon. With shows like “Fixer Upper” its easy to fall in love with this look. If this is a look you like, a rustic tree would be perfect for you. It creates a feeling of warmth and familiarity. Plus, they are really pretty. The bottom left is a little unconventional, but it is so simple that its perfect for a small home or apartment.
Blue and White
A blue and white tree is more winter-like than actual Christmas, however, its still so pretty to look at. It has a nostalgic feel to it, making it perfect for any home.
Classic and Modern
A modern tree looks classic, which makes it so versatile. Black and purple typically aren’t Christmas colors, but in these living rooms, how can you not love them?
Colorful and Fun
Colorful and fun trees aren’t just for families with kids anymore. Homemade ornaments or quirky substitutes for trees are fun for everyone and gives the holiday season in your home a fresh twist.
Now, as we were looking through ideas for decorations, we came across an idea that we have used previously in our flooring photos. We thought it was a cool idea then, so we thought we’d share it with you now as well. On the left, an idea for displaying a village, and on the right was our idea back a few months ago when we were staging our floors. Super cool.
From our family here at Superior Floors to all of yours, Happy Holidays!
